Il quadro clinico era già compromesso nella serata di mercoledì. Poi quello che in molti temevano. Il suo cuore ha terminato di battere nella notte tra giovedì e venerdì 26 maggio. Commovente il Tweet della figlia Laura Cigna Biagiotti con cui ha annunciato la scomparsa della madre: ‹‹Grazie di tutto! Per sempre noi…››.
Con l’improvvisa scomparsa di Laura Biagiotti il mondo della moda perde una delle sue più importanti figure: il New York Times qualche anno fa la incoronò “regina del cachemire”. Laura Biagiotti detiene anche diversi primati: prima stilista italiana, nel lontano 1988, ad aver sfilato a Pechino sullo sfondo di Piazza Tienanmen; prima stilista italiana, nel 1995, ad aver sfilato al Cremlino. Laura Biagiotti sarà ricordata anche per aver inventato “l’abito bambola”. Un abito ampio a trapezio entrato a far parte dei libri di costume e moda. La stilista romana verrà ricordata anche per il suo grande amore per il colore bianco, da qui il modo di dire: bianco Biagiotti.
