battute finali per il concorso bag in town{jcomments on}E’ quasi giunto al capolinea il concorso “Bag in town” organizzato da Eastpak in collaborazione con lo IED (l’istituto europeo di design). Dopo una dura selezione sono rimasti in sei i finalisti che si contendono il premio finale: Chiara Castellana (Italia), Lane De Souza Machado (Brasile), Ana Margarita Jimenez (Portogallo), Federica Ghinoi (Italia), Elizabeth Hernandez Medina (Messico) e Fernando Ocampo (Cile). I giovani designers sono stati chiamati a realizzare un prototipo di borsa, in linea con quelle che sono le collezioni Eastpak, che possa essere prodotta e venduta attraverso i canali del brand. Un lavoro di progettazione lungo ma affascinante: i sei finalisti hanno partecipato a due Creative Factory, prima a Madrid e poi a Venezia, dove, con il supporto dei docenti dell’Istituto Europeo di Design e dei responsabili prodotto Eastpak, hanno potuto sviluppare i loro progetti. Al vincitore verrà assegnato un premio in denaro di 5000 euro, ma cosa più importante, la sua borsa farà parte della nuova collezione Eastpak 2013. Fino al 30 novembre potranno essere visionati e votati sul sito www.bagintown.net i progetti dei sei finalisti.
